(Moab Utah) A 28 year old man was injured around 3:30 this morning when eh tried to swing from a rope attached to the pedestrian bridge over the Colorado River at Lions Park. Somehow he lost his grip and fell to the ground below. He was fully conscious and alert when emts arrived. He was transported to Moab Regional Hospital.

>>Eagle Mountain Neighborhood Evacuated Because Of Wildfire

(Eagle Mountain, UT) -- A neighborhood in Eagle Mountain is under a mandatory evacuation because of a wildfire. A portion of the North Ranch subdivision fell under mandatory orders last night, following hours of close watching and an order to be ready to get out. The Utah National Guard says the fire has burned 12-hundred acres on Camp Williams. Lightning started the fire over the weekend. There have already been a number of wildfires and evacuations earlier this year in Eagle Mountain, Herriman and Saratoga Springs.

>>First West Nile Case In 2012 Reported In Utah

(Undated) -- A man in Box Elder County is Utah's first confirmed human case of West Nile Virus. The Utah Department of Health says the man was exposed to the mosquito-borne virus near his home sometime during the past two weeks. He got sick but did not have to go to the hospital. There were larger fears about the West Nile virus this year in Utah, but few mosquitos have tested positive for it, and the Box Elder case is the only human case so far this year.

>>Former NFL, BYU Player Pleads No Contest To Gas Theft

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- A former BYU football player is giving up his fight against a felony theft charge. Reno Mahe [[ MA-hey ]] says he didn't do anything illegal but is pleading "no contest" anyway because prosecutors can prove their case. Mahe [[ MA-hey ]] was charged with stealing hundreds of dollars of gasoline in multiple fillups at a construction company. He says a friend at that company told him he got free gas as a perk and offered to share. A judge ordered Mahe [[ MA-hey]] to pay back three-thousand dollars in restitution. The felony will be dropped after 18 months as long as he stays out of trouble.

>>Families Feel Pain Of Mine Collapse Five Years Later

(Huntington, UT) -- Families are still "coming to terms" with the Crandall Canyon mine collapse more than five years after it happened. An attorney who represents victims' families said yesterday that more could have been done to avoid the tragedy in the first place. Yesterday marked the five-year anniversary of the miners getting trapped 18-hundred feet below the ground in Huntington. The search was called off days later after another collapse killed three rescuers. Murray Energy was fined and promised to make immediate safety improvements.

(Layton, UT) -- It appears the Ridge Fire was started by a human. Fire officials first believed it was lightning that caused the weekend fire in Layton. Investigators still don't know the exact reason behind why it did start in the first place.

>>Man Jailed For Sandy Killing

(Sandy, UT) -- Sandy police say they've made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting. Alex Vasquez is jailed on suspicion of homicide. He was picked up in Midvale after he became wanted for shooting Paul Giovale late Sunday.

PROVO — A Utah County family is thanking neighbors who helped save the life of a 3-year-old girl who was run over by a car near her home.
"The way the neighbors reacted, it was really impressive," said Michael Pulley, the girl's father.
Pulley said his daughter, Renee, was riding a scooter with her brother outside the family's Provo home about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when she was runover by a neighbor's car and sucked (her) right under the car,"
The father rushed to the front of the car to attempt to pull his daughter to safety. That's when neighbors rushed to his aid, he said, and together they lifted the vehicle off the girl..
When the car was lifted, Renee was able to move out from underneath it on her own, the father said. She was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center, where she's now undergoing treatment for deep cuts to her head and legs.

PAYSON — A 36-year-old ATV rider was hit and killed by a train early Monday.
William Cody Hunter, of Payson, was riding an ATV with a woman just after midnight when he tried to cross a set of railroad tracks west of Payson, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, but got stuck.
"He and a woman were trying to cross the tracks away from a designated railroad crossing. The woman was able to get away from the tracks but Cody was unable to get off the tracks before he was hit by the north bound train," the sheriff's office said.

A fire gutted a duplex Monday night in South Salt Lake.
The blaze was reported about 9:10 p.m. at a home near 3100 S. 700 East, said deputy South Salt Lake Fire Chief Kevin Bowman. It caused $70,000 to $80,000 damage and left both units uninhabitable. The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no one as injured, Bowman said.
