The city of landing has a new city manager today. He is Jeremy Redd..the city treasuer. City Mananger Chris Webb resigned his 16 year position last week to become Vice President of Air Resources Inc, the parent of Firm of Eagle Air Med..an air ambulance service based n Blanding and Draper Utah. The parent firm also operates air services in several other western state including Hawaii and Alaska. Webb will be responsible for contract and grant negotiations..
>>Republican Activist Charged With Serial Rapes

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- A Republican activist who has spent time with Senator Orrin Hatch, Governor Gary Herbert, and most top Republicans in the state, is now accused of being a serial rapist. Greg Peterson was arraigned in court yesterday on 23 felonies, including rape and kidnapping. Court documents show he's accused of using his 3-thousand square foot cabin in Heber twice to lure women there after he met them online. That same cabin has been used for Republican barbecues and get-togethers. In other attacks, victims say he aggressively attacked them after lunch dates. He's in jail and his bail has been set at 750-thousand dollars.

>>BYU Student Social Security Numbers Possibly Leaked

(Provo, UT) -- There's concern in Provo that as many as eight-hundred student social security numbers were leaked. According to "The Universe", former and current students could have had their personal information stolen when a database was accessed without authorization last month. For about 24 hours, the sensititve information was vulnerable. The Registrar's office is taking steps to prevent something like this from happening again.

>>Woman Who Died After Trying To Help Crash Victim Remembered

(Bluffdale, UT) -- Friends and co-workers are remembering the woman who died after she was hit by a bus while trying to help somebody else. Ali Hostetter was a history, government, humanties and law teacher at North Star Academy in Bluffdale, according to the "Salt Lake Tribune". AT the school yesterday, she was described as an out-of-the-box thinker and passionate educator. One of her big plans for next year was an inter-disciplinary study on the zombie apocalypse. Police in Murray say she was hit by a UTA bus on 45-hundred south when she crossed the street to help a woman who had just crashed her scooter.

>>Search For Goatman Continues

(Ogden, UT) -- The man who took pictures of somebody dressed as a mountain goat on Ben Lomond Peak is working with wildlife officers, trying to identify who it was. Coty Creighton tells "KSTU-TV" he used binoculars and could clearly see the man was wearing a homemade goat suit complete with heavy gloves so he could crawl on his hands and knees. He says they were the only people around for miles and it was obvious the person was trying to catch up with a real herd of mountain goats. The DWR admits what "goatman" is doing is not illegal, but probably not a good idea for his health. Mountain goats are territorial and can attack with their horns.

 
>>Park City Police Seek Help Catching Sling-Shooter

(Park City, UT) -- Park City police are on the hunt for a man who's been hitting buildings, moving vehicles and people with a sling-shot. Police Chief Wade Carpenter says at least six buildings and stationary vehicles have been shot with marbles over the past few months. Officers revved up their search this past weekend when the suspect started targeting people. Businesses are offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.

>>Teenage Boy Injured In Drive-By Shooting In WVC

(West Valley City, UT) -- An investigation is under way in West Valley City where a 15-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting. The incident happened around 9:30 last night at 4093 West and 4300 South. Police say the victim's gunshot wound was minor. They didn't identify a suspect or a possible motive in the case.

>>Police: Woman Rams Minivan Into Husband's Car With Mistress Inside

(American Fork, UT) -- A young woman is accused of ramming her minivan into her husband's car in American Fork after spotting him with his alleged mistress. The 30-year-old woman was arrested Thursday on aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges. Police say she had her two young children with her when she hit the man's vehicle on West Main Street and started yelling obscenitie. No injuries were reported.
